Why I Chose to be a Beachbody Coach

Growing up, I was never the star athlete, but I was always fit and active. My mom couldn’t get me to sit still for a minute, and to this day I still have more energy than most of my friends. Some people think I am too hyper, but I love the amount of energy I have on a daily basis because I get so much done and I feel happy doing it!

However, I started to lose that energy and drive to do much more than get up, get dressed and go about my day. Then, my mom introduced me to the Ultimate Beachbody Reset, which she had never tried but really wanted to, and she wanted to do it with me.

I was content with my life, and with Halloween right around the corner there was no way I was going to start a cleanse and give up drinking right before this major holiday. I mean how crazy of me to do that – right?! Lol wrong. I started the cleanse about 2 weeks before Halloween and I regret nothing. Sure, I missed out on drinking with my friends the weekend before Halloween, and the day of Halloween I was DD but I loved it! I still got to be with my friends, got all dressed up, and had a great time! The real bonus? I didn’t have a headache the next day.

My first reset was great! I lost 12 pounds, ending it at 122 pounds, which was less than what I weighed in High School (but I am 99% sure I have lost some muscle mass). My BIGGEST mistake after this first reset was that I celebrated…a lot. YAY! I lost 12 pounds! Let’s celebrate with a big, juicy Shake Shack burger and a beer! I thought. And I did! Many times.

We are only human, so these cravings are inevitable, but there are ways to avoid indulging in your guilty pleasures. Like drinking Shakeology when you’re craving chocolate or have a veggie burger rather than a hamburger. I gained all of the weight back and then some over the course of about 5 months, and that is a big inspiration for Reset round two, and being a Beachbody coach.

I was right back to where I started – low energy, low self-confidence, and lazy. I then went to a Brendan Burchard conference, High Performance Academy, with my mom a few weeks ago and that’s when everything changed for me. I decided that if I want to make something of myself and make THE change then I was going to have to be the one to make that change, no one was going to do that for me.

The day we got home from the conference I started this blog, and signed myself up as a Beachbody coach. Both of these are things that I have been putting off for about a year now, and I am so glad I finally did it!

I chose to be a Beachbody Coach because the reset made such a difference in my life, and in High School I would do P90X and Turbo Fire with my mom in the mornings and have Shakeology for breakfast. I had so much energy and confidence when I was living life this way, so why did I ever stop? The same reason we all do, that nagging voice full of excuses living in the back of our head. My biggest excuse was, I’m young, I don’t really need to work out. Not until my metabolism starts slowing down!

This is the pitfall of people my age and into their late twenties. We think that we are invincible, and health is only a concern when it’s too late. I’ve decided that I am not going to let myself get to that point, rather I am going to change my life now so I can live a long and healthy life with minimal health concerns.

I want to help other’s make this change as well, and realize that they CAN lose that weight, and they CAN make a change in their diet! We live in a world full of CAN’T, and I am personally not going to let that stop me anymore, and I don’t want you to either!

I am not trying to sell you anything, just simply inspire you to love the same products I do that really make changes in peoples lives. I believe that a simply lifestyle change not only the way to feel and look, but it will boost your confidence leading to healthier relationships and more success at work and in life! It’s not easy making a change, and a lot of us are stuck on the work out yo-yo, where we do it for a bit, but then life gets too “busy”.

One key thing that I took away from Brendan Burchard’s seminar is that you cannot wait for that perfect moment, because it is never going to come. Life is not just going to hand you motivation on a silver platter, you have to find it within yourself and take action! That is what I am finally doing, and I hope to inspire others to do as well!
