Hi everyone, my name is Rayne (yes, as in the weather – I have my mom to thank for this super snazzy name of mine)! I have decided to enter the blog space and start doing what I love again which is writing and expressing my creative nature. This blog will be full of travel advice and personal fitness and lifestyle choices I have made to inspire you!
I have been struggling with acne since I was 14 years old, and I have found products that help control it, and others that make it worse. I want to share these things with you so that you can either help your skin or a loved ones! Do keep in mind that the things I share on here are things that work well for me, but they may not work for you – wouldn’t it be nice if there was a cure-all for this thing?
I am a new addition to the Beachbody Coach community, but I am not new to Beachbody as a whole. I have done T25, P90X, Turbo Fire, Brazilian Butt Lift, PIYO, 80 Day Obsession, and 21 Day Fix (+Extreme). The issue is, I have never stuck to a program and completed it all the way through, but I am about to change that as I dive into the Beachbody Ultimate Reset starting March 28th.
The goal of this blog is to both inspire and educate you; to get you out there, and to be active and confident in your daily life. I also aspire to really get to know at least one local in every area around the world that I visit and get to know their story. I think it is so important that we do this more often. Our lives are so consumed by technology and immediate gratification that we forget to communicate face-to-face and take the time to get to know one another. I am no saint, and I am guilty of this too, which is why I am challenging myself to really get to know at least one person in each country I visit (and also in the States).
So, what got me to this point in life? I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, moved to Kansas when I was 1 and then moved to Dallas when I was 9 and have been here ever since! Dallas has been such a great place to grow up and learn, and I am blessed to have had such a loving and stable life in Dallas. I attended Southern Methodist University, and graduated from Cox School of Business with a degree in Marketing last May, so I am basically an expert in all things Dallas! But I am always new to brunch suggestions because I love me some brunch!
Since then, I have been living the typical post grad life – committed to and absorbed by corporate America. I refuse to get stuck in this rut where I do nothing but work, eat and sleep, so I am taking advantage of every hour of paid time off that I have for travel and adventures. Since I was little, I have had this undeniable urge to travel, whether that be a 4-hour drive to Austin or a 12-hour flight to Paris. I’ve decided, rather than sitting around talking about all of my big dreams, I am going to go out there and get them. Who’s with me?!
I know what some of you are thinking, “Oh, here we go. Another Millennial thinking they are some revolutionary”. And you would be right; I want to make a difference in this world, even if it’s with just with one person in each country I visit – that would be enough for me. But one thing I will not do is waste another weekend drowning my liver and laying in bed all Sunday on the verge of vomiting, complete with a pounding headache – the real cherry on top! Rather, I will be working out, exploring Dallas and other parts of the world and writing blogs along the way!
As I create these blogs, please do not hesitate to make suggestions and comment on what you would like to see! If you are a traveler yourself, any destination suggestions are much appreciated.
This year I plan on traveling to Bali, New Zealand and Australia – spending a week in each location and immersing myself in their culture and way of life. This year, I also plan on bettering my inner and outer well-being through Beachbody and other forms of personal development. So, buckle up and enjoy this journey with me!
Xoxo,
Rayne
